Restorative Yoga – Series of 3
The purpose of this Yoga class series of THREE is so anyone interested, curious, or intrigued can try it out & get a taste of this amazing Yoga class! Taught by our full positive bright light Monica Anne Fernandi – Certified Yoga instructor! You don’t want to miss out!
*Monica will potentially be adding this class on a regular basis at the Spa!

When: Thursday’s starting – October 25th, 6:00pm – 7:30pm

What:
Class #1 – October 25th
“What’s Inside”
Yoga postures are what most of us get introduced to first, there are so many more components to the mind/body connection. In order to flow freely with your amazing body, we start within and allow you to be where you are. Restoration of muscles or joints using breath and props (bring your own block or strap, or bolster if you have) will begin our trio of introducing the amazing art of yoga to “yolk” together your inner and outer healing. Come away from this class wanting more as your body welcomes your willingness to let go!

Class #2 – November 1st 
“She/he used to be mine”
Discover a new you as we dig deeper into the asana-physical posture, and breath work. Rejuvenation occurs when we accept where our body is and move through nurturing , encouraging postures. As our body ages, honoring where we need to be and trusting the inner healer we all have. Mind and body work together makes this class an harmonious eye-opener to your aches, pains, injuries and also prevents us from furthering that possibility!

Class #3 – November 8th
“A soft place to land”
Discover the roots of yoga on your own two feet! We hit the ground ” running” everyday and not until our body screams at us do we listen. Taking the feet into the ground with awareness in your flow on the mat , so that when we put shoes or boots on we can balance easier!  This class will make your ” barking dogs” happy, loose and able to take you forward with grace in your days! Fascia release using tennis balls is one of our tools to free up negative steps along your path. We will also highlight your free tools for balance as we stand on one leg and train the body to walk tall and confidently!

Mommy and Me yoga!

FRIDAYS starting September 14th (series of 6)

  • 11:30am – 12:00pm (Babies of all ages welcome as well as kiddos up to the age 10 with their mom. Dads welcome too!) Moving and breathing together has been a natural course with you wee one and now discover some fun flowing techniques together with soothing music and massage to enhance calm in both of your lives!

$20 drop-in rate

Monica Fernandi

Monica is passionate about your path to wellness, wholeness, and happiness! It is an “inside job” that begins with a thought and can manifest your dreams both large and small. Whether its yoga on land, Aqua Yoga, chair yoga, Zumba with toning sticks, in the water or with your kids, boot camp as a “Baby Boomer” or with your baby, Monica can custom tailor your program to accommodate your level and help to achieve your goals.

As an AFAA certified personal trainer and group fitness teacher, Monica has worked in several locations around northern Virginia since moving here from New Jersey in ’08.  After 6 years in Tae Kwan Do, receiving her 1st Degree Black Belt, winning sparring competitions and even singing the National Anthem at her own Black Belt test, she found yoga.  Her yoga training began in New York with Yoga Fit and it quickly became her passion.  Music drives all her classes from Spinning to guided meditations and especially in her “Rock your Chakras” yoga workshops! Let your spirit soar as you embark on any class she teaches and allow your strength to unfold.
